A “USI-Roma”

Uso ilegítimo del acrónimo USI / USI-AIT
La Freie Arbeiterinnen- und Arbeiter-Union (FAU), sección alemana de la Asociación Internacional
de los Trabajadores (IWA-AIT), exige el cese inmediato de las siglas USI / USI-AIT por parte de su
grupo, “USI-Roma”. Nuestra Internacional sólo reconoce una USI en Italia, cuya sede se encuentra en
Via Bologna 28, Génova, y cuyo Secretario Nacional en la actualidad es Guido Barroero. Al mismo
tiempo, exigimos que cesen sus publicaciones en cualquier medio de comunicación con el mencionado
acrónimo.
Entendemos que hay mala fe por su parte, puesto que participan en la Coordinadora Rojinegra,
plataforma que no tiene nada que ver con la AIT, y que lo que buscan es crear confusión entre la clase
trabajadora, haciendo uso de unas siglas que tienen un peso en la historia del movimiento obrero
italiano y del anarcosindicalismo internacional que no les corresponde. Además, su actitud pueril
pretende menoscabar la labor de nuestro sindicato hermano, USI-AIT, cosa que no estamos
dispuestos a permitir.
De igual modo, nos gustaría recordar al resto de organizaciones de la Coordinadora Rojinegra que
“USI-Roma” no es una sección de la AIT y que, por lo tanto, no tiene derecho a usar las siglas AIT, sea
en el idioma que sea. Su uso continuado y la permisividad por parte de los grupos de dicha
Coordinadora sólo demostrarían su complicidad y/o implicación en esta situación.
Apoyaremos cualquier medida que tomen nuestros compañeros y compañeras de la USI-AIT o la
propia AIT para zanjar este fraude.

Protest against the “USI -Rome” illegitimate use of the initials AIT-IWA

1) The 20th IWA Congress in Madrid in December 1996 decided to accept

the USI “Prato Carnico” and not

the “USI Rome” as the IWA Section in Italy.

2) Since then the “USI Rome” has continued to misuse the initials

AIT-IWA and by this has been, and is, creating

big confusion among workers both in Italy and other countries.

3) The only legitimate USI-AIT has Guido Barroero as its National

Secretary, and is based in Via Bologna 28, Genova.

4) The IWA Secretariat demands that you stop this illegitimate use of

the initials AIT-IWA immediately!

We are writing to object to the continued use of the initials “AIT” by groups which are

not affiliated with the IWA-AIT.

 

The website http://www.usiait.it, maintained by USI, has the words: USI – Unione

Sindacale Italiana – Associazione Internazionale dei Lavoratori – AIT – IWA right at

the top of the web page. This is clearly a fraudulent statement as the groups using

this

page are not affiliated in the AIT-IWA. And this has been the situation since the 20th

IWA Congress in 1996.

We do not understand why you continue this farcical activity 15 years later.

Please be informed that it is the specific will of the IWA sections that we do not

resort to state coercion to stop this activity – but that does not mean we accept this

or are willing to tolerate misleading the public. We would like a reply to this letter

telling us what action you intend to take in this matter and by when. Should we fail to

receive a reply in 14 days, we will consider USI to be acting in bad faith and will

have

to consider more resolute action.

On behalf of the Solidarity Federation, British section of the International

Workers Association, I am writing to protest ay your organisations continued

us of the International Workers Association initials IWA-AIT. The IWA/AIT

has made it clear on many occasion that we only recognise one section in

Italy, that is the USI-AIT based in Via Bologna 28, Genova.

We demand that you stop using our international name and initials

1) El 20 Congreso de la AIT en Madrid, en diciembre de 1996, decidió

aceptar a la USI “Prato Carnico” y
